![]() This will tell CaptureNX to recurse through all the subdirectories. In CaptureNX, you can check "include subfolders" and then point your source folder to the top of the folder tree. And possibly even better if you have applied some extra processing or post-processing steps (which you can do in batch mode) that can't be done in-camera. ![]() Originally posted at 3:11PM, 10 February 2010 PST I would convert first then archive the RAW's for future use in case I find that one keeper that just begs to have the NEF used (as it, most of my pics just go up on SmugMug or find their way to Shutterfly books). Is it possible to do a batch convert that would preserve the existing directory structure without doing them one directory at a time? (I have about 30k in approx 100 directories) Is it reasonable to assume that a converted JPEG from either program will be just as good as a JPEG when shooting RAW+JPEG?Ģ. ![]() I've got ViewNX and Capture NX2, so I can use either to convert to JPG, but I have a few questions first:ġ. All well and good, except that I haven't really been methodically keeping JPEG copies. I've been shooting NEF for some years now and, though I love the possibilities of the format, I'm starting to think I'd rather just work with the JPEG's and archive the NEF's (metadata writing is part of this).
